How to Apply
Prospective student applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis beginning February 7, 2020. Admissions decisions will be for Summer 2021 and are based on the following criteria including: transcripts, a school letter of recommendation, and a personal essay.
Submit your application along with your transcripts, school letter of recommendation, personal essay. International students will also need to provide TOEFL scores. A non-refundable $50 application fee.
Once all requirements are received, the Franklin & Marshall Summer Scholars Admissions Review Committee will review your application and make an admission decision.
Upon acceptance we will contact you with information on how to enroll. Within 5 business days, please enroll online for your courses and submit the program deposit to guarantee your spot for Summer 2021.
Tuition & Fees
For a three-week session your tuition includes:
|Residential||$5,750||Two project-based courses, room & board, three meals, participation in campus activities and weekend excursions.|
|Commuter||$4,450||Two project-based courses, three meals, participation in campus activities and weekend excursions.
Note: Commuters must have a permanent address of at least one year of residency within 10 miles of Franklin & Marshall College.
|Application Fee||$50||A non-refundable fee must be submitted along with your application.|
Because of the nature of the program, all students must be completely fluent in English. To apply, international students must provide TOEFL scores. Students will need to have scored a minimum of 600 for the paper-based test (PBT), 250 for the Computer Based Test (CBT) or 80 for the Internet Based Test (IBT).

If an international student is considered a viable candidate, they will be emailed to schedule a Skype interview with an admissions counselor to verify fluency.

Franklin & Marshall Summer Scholars financial aid applicants will be considered when there is a significant unmet financial need. Please note, due to the size of the program we cannot guarantee that all eligible applicants will receive aid.
On your summer scholars application, please mark your interest in applying for financial aid and a Summer Scholars Admissions representative will reach out to you with specific application information.
Students must be a U.S. citizen, eligible permanent U.S. resident with a green card, or permanently reside in the U.S. in order to be considered for financial aid.
